I am broadly interested in -

• Developing novel and scalable algorithms and tools for large-scale genomic data.

• Solving discrete optimization problems for species tree estimation using different phylogenetic approaches.

• Application of machine learning and deep learning algorithms to identify structural and functional relation among DNA and RNA sequences.

Recently, I have completed my undergraduate studies in Computer Science and Engineering from Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology. I am currently working as a Research Assistant at the research lab of Dr. Md. Shamsuzzoha Bayzid. I am also working on several projects to develop novel algorithms for large-scale biological data, under the supervision of Prof. Siavash Mirarab, Univeristy of California, San Diego. Besides these, I am working on the application of machine learning algorithms in metagenomics, under the supervision of Dr. Atif Hasan Rahman.

Outside work, I enjoy reading and swimming.
