I am broadly interested in -
Developing novel and scalable algorithms and tools for large-scale genomic data.
Solving discrete optimization problems for species tree estimation using different phylogenetic approaches.
Application of machine learning and deep learning algorithms to identify structural and functional relation among DNA and RNA sequences.
Recently, I have completed my undergraduate studies in Computer Science and Engineering from Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology. I am currently working as a Research Assistant at the research lab of Dr. Md. Shamsuzzoha Bayzid. I am also working on several projects to develop novel algorithms for large-scale biological data, under the supervision of Prof. Siavash Mirarab, Univeristy of California, San Diego. Besides these, I am working on the application of machine learning algorithms in metagenomics, under the supervision of Dr. Atif Hasan Rahman.
Outside work, I enjoy reading and swimming.
